English openers steam through Lankan bowling attack, help team win by 10 wickets

EDGBASTON (Web Desk) – England brushed aside Sri Lanka in the series’ second One-Day International on Friday to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match rubber following Tuesday’s tie at Trent Bridge.

According to reports, Sri Lanka, after winning the toss, decided to bat first and made a handsome total of 254 for the loss of seven wickets.

Afterwards, English batsmen Jason Roy and Alex Hales scored 112 and 113 runs respectively in a mere 34 overs to humble the Sri Lankan camp without the loss of any wicket.
