HAMILTON – New Zealand beat Pakistan by five wickets in fourth ODI of the five matches series at Seddon Park, Hamilton on Tuesday.
The hosts lead the series 4-0. Openers Martin Guptill and Colin Munro saw New Zealand off to a steady start before Shadab Khan struck to remove both of them, bringing Pakistan back into the game in defence of 262.

Munro fell for 56 and Guptill was gone for 31, while Rumman Raees lbw’ed Ross Taylor for 1, reducing New Zealand to 90-3.
Shadab struck again to send Tom Latham back to the pavilion, with New Zealand at 99-4.
New Zealand looked stable again but Haris Sohail dismissed captain Kane Williamson for 32 to reduce the hosts to 154-5.
Henry Nicholls (52*) and Colin de Grandhomme (74*) then put the Black Caps in total command as they chased down the target without any further loss.
Earlier, Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman scored fifty, while other Pakistan opener Faheem Ashraf could make only 1 score after Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first.
Fakhar scored 54 off 75 balls before falling to the spin of Mitchell Santner. Harris Sohail also stabilised the score by making fifty off 74 balls.
Just as Pakistan seemed to slow down, Mohammad Hafeez and Sarfraz Ahmed lifted the score, taking it to 262.
Hafeez made 81 off 80 before getting run out, while Sarfraz scored 51 off 46 in the fourth ODI.

In second ODI on Tuesday, the hosts thrashed Pakistan by eight wickets in Nelson.
