LAHORE – Colleges and universities in Punjab will now operate four days a week, following schools.
The Higher Education Department has issued a notification implementing the four-day attendance policy across all public and private colleges and universities in the province.
Earlier, the School Education Department also announced new timings for schools, stating that Friday will be observed as a weekly holiday, with institutions open four days a week.
Schools will run from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM. In double-shift schools, the morning shift will end at 12:30 PM, while the second shift will continue from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
According to the education department, the new schedule aims to improve the education system and make the teaching process more effective.
