ISLAMABAD – VGO TEL led Pakistan’s local mobile phone assembly from January to August 2026, producing 2.45 million units and overtaking Infinix, which held the top position in the previous two years, according to industry data.
Infinix ranked second with 1.96m devices, followed by Itel with 1.56m and TECNO with 1.14m. Samsung recorded 1.01m units, while Vivo and Nokia each assembled around 0.97m devices.
The top 10 listed brands collectively produced 12.11m units during the eight-month period. The four leading brands, VGO TEL, Infinix, Itel and TECNO, accounted for 7.11m devices, representing nearly 59 per cent of the total.
The rankings mark a shift from 2025, when Infinix assembled 3.65m devices, narrowly ahead of VGO TEL’s 3.57m. Vivo followed with 2.80m units, while Itel recorded 2.34m.
In 2024, Infinix led with 3.98m locally assembled devices, followed by Itel at 3.64m and VGO TEL at 3.37m.
While VGO TEL has moved into first place in the cumulative 2026 rankings, local assembly remains concentrated among a handful of major brands.
