ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s Ambassador to UN, Maleeha Lodhi has urged Afghanistan to concentrate on internal deteriorating security situation instead of alleging Pakistan, reported Radio Pakistan. Pakistan is ready to overcome the shared threat of violent extremists to the region, she said, adding that Afghanistan should avoid linking its internal problems with others. Increase in terrorist activities in Afghanistan indicate the spreading influence of IS about which Pakistan have been alerting the country, she highlighted. Lodhi said the timing of the attacks on Kabul suggests that some elements wanted to discontinue the efforts of both countries to restore peace in the region. She stressed the need of joint effort to eliminate terrorism and violent extremism, She said.
