LAHORE – Another good news for cricket fans after the successful conclusion of PSL is that a 4-match series between Pakistan team and a World-XI is likely to be played in Lahore.

The series termed as ‘Independence Cup’ just after the 70th independence day of Pakistan would entertain Lahoris once again.
ICC’s Pakistan Task Force head Giles Clarke, who is also the president of England Cricket Board, has said that Cricket cannot leave Pakistan alone.
‘The world of cricket needs to help Pakistan, who cannot continue to play their home fixtures overseas. The youth need inspiring, and the national teams need far more cricket played in familiar terrain. Furthermore, the terrorists cannot win and cricket must not give up on Pakistan’ he was quoted as saying by The Guardian.
The World XI series overseas team will assemble in Dubai on 17 September, before heading to Lahore for four matches on the 22nd, 23rd, 28th and 29th, and follow a similar security plan to the PSL final.
Pakistan recently hosted the Pakistan Super League final in Lahore amid fool-proof security for which the cricketing board and provincial government earned much respect and reports regarding the cricket series in September once again stirred joy among cricket enthusiasts.
