LAHORE – In consonance with Indian atrocities being committed in the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Federal Cabinet on Friday decided to observe the upcoming Tuesday as Black Day.
Addressing the special cabinet meeting in Lahore, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif termed the movement of Kashmiris as a movement of freedom. Pakistan will continue to extend moral, political and diplomatic support for Kashmiris in their just struggle for the right to self-determination, he maintained.
He said Indian brutalities will give impetus to the freedom struggle and that international community should take serious notice of the recent killings by Indian forces.
He went on to say that seven hundred thousand Indian soldiers deployed in Occupied Kashmir could not suppress the struggle of Kashmiris. The Prime Minister also termed Burhan Wani as a martyr of the independence movement.
He said Kashmiri people will get their right to self-determination for which the whole Pakistani nation is standing behind them.
The Prime Minister directed all the relevant departments to highlight Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir by the Indian forces at international fora.
Earlier, at the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet offered fateha for the departed souls of Abdul Sattar Edhi, Amjad Sabri and Shuhada-e-Kashmir.
The meeting also condemned the terrorist attacks in France, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Turkey and Indonesia.
