ISLAMBAD – Sardar Yaqoob Khan Nasar has been elected as Acting President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
His name was proposed by Raja Zafar-ul-Haq at a meeting of the Central Executive Committee of the party in Islamabad on Thursday. The committee endorsed his nomination.
The seat fell vacant due to disqualification of Nawaz Sharif by the Supreme Court and the resultant direction of the Election Commission to PML (N) to elect a new head of the party.
