Second T20: New Zealand beat Pakistan by 10 wickets
HAMILTON (Staff Report) - New Zealand on Sunday beat Pakistan by 10 wickets in second T20 game of three-match series at Hamilton’s Seddon Park cricket stadium.

While batting first Pakistan set 169 runs target while New Zealand chased the target in 18th over.

New Zealand's Kane Williamson and Martin Guptil scored 72 and 87 runs respectively.

Pakistani batsman Umar Akmal remain prominent batsman by scoring 56 runs off 27 balls only. Shoaib Malik also contributed 39 runs.

New Zealand's McClenaghan picked wickets against 23 runs.


Earlier after winning the toss Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi said that his team has high spirit and would try best win the second game to win the three-match series. Pakistan kept the same playing eleven.

Speaking on the occasion Kane Williamson said that he would have batted as well. We had rested Trent Boult and Matt Henry and Ross Taylor was in for the second T20, he said.

On Friday, Pakistan defeated New Zealand in first T20 game by 16 runs when it successfully defended its 172 runs target at Auckland’s Eden Garden cricket Stadium.

The two teams are scheduled to play final T20 match on January 22 (Friday) at Wellington.

The T20 series will be followed by a three-match ODI series between Pakistan and New Zealand.

Pakistani rupee recovers against US dollar, Euro, Pound, Dirham and Riyal; check forex rates

Pakistani rupee continues recovering losses against US dollar and other currencies amid positive economic cues.

Dollar Rate in Pakistan Today

On Tuesday, the US dollar moved down and was being quoted at 283.6 for buying and 286.65 for selling.

Euro slides down to 309 for buying and 312 for selling. British Pound rate inches up to 360 for buying, and 363.5 for selling.

UAE Dirham AED dropped to 77.50 whereas the Saudi Riyal rate stands at 75.90.

Single tola of 24 karat is Rs218,500, 22 Karat Gold costs Rs200,290, rate of 21 karat gold stands at Rs191,190 whereas 18k gold rate is Rs163,875.00 for each tola.

In the global market, gold saw huge drop in price, coming down to $2037 per ounce after drop of $81.79.
