ISLAMABAD – A Chinese woman who was shot injured by a gang of robbers during a house robbery in G-10/4 on December 29 died in the federal capital on Tuesday, The Chinese embassy has confirmed the death on its website. The woman was shot when three gunmen stormed a residence rented by a group of Chinese nationals on Dec 29 in Islamabad. She was later transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment. According to local media, the gang opened fire at the 35-year-old woman and fled after looting Rs550,000 (nearly US$5,000) from the house. No arrest has been made so far but the Chinese embassy has urged the Pakistani side to arrest the perpetrators as soon as possible and protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens. In June 2017, two Chinese nationals teaching Chinese in Pakistan were killed in southwestern Pakistan’s Balochistan province after being abducted in May. The armed robbers managed to escape by plundering Rs5,50,000 cash from the house where some 11 Chinese nationals were staying, they added. The injured Chinese lady was rushed to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for treatment, where she was identified as Olexia, 35. A case was registered with Police Station Ramna with no arrest or recovery so far, the sources added. According to the sources, a gang of three armed robbers broke into residence of Chinese nationals in G-10/4. Seeing the robbers , a Chinese lady started screaming on which the robbers opened firing at her. Resultantly, the Chinese lady got injured while the robbers looted Rs5,50,000 cash and managed to escape from the scene. The sources said that on information, heavy contingent of police rushed to the house and shifted the injured lady to PIMS for treatment. Olexia was said to be associated as accountant with a cement manufacturing company at Dhoke Paracha, Rawalpindi. A doctor of PIMS told media that condition of injured lady was out of danger as doctors were providing her adequate treatment. On 2017,12,29, Three robberies with gun broke into her house G/10-4, Islamabad, robbed $5,000 and shot her. She was immediately sent to ALI MEDICAL CENTRAL, then Ali transferred her to Pakistan Institutes of Medical Sciences. On 12/30, she had her first operation. And recovered good. But things turned worse since January 5th, then she had second operation on 6th. 7th, she was getting worse, and the Chinese doctor suggest to do blood test, they guess she may get blood infection. The victim’s family asked the doctor of PIMS more than 10 times to do the blood test. They all rejected. And said everything is under control. But on 8th, the victim started to in a bad condition. 9th, the victims slpet too much and the family tried to call the doctor (4:30pm) . The doctor didn’t appear until 5. They asked PIMS transfer the victim to Shifa international hospital, PIMS rejected. At this time, the victim already brain dead.
