MUZAFFARABAD – A 12-year-old boy sacrificed his life to save the drowning students after they fell into the extremely cold and fast stream of river Neelam near Jagiran following the collapse of a bridge.
According to media reports, Saim, who helped his father selling eatables at the bank of river Neelam, jumped into the river after the Kundal Shahi bridge collapsed and a group of tourists fell into the river.
The minor boy sacrificed his own life in a bid to save others, the locals said, adding that he was able to save the life of 2 tourists.

More than 25 tourists had swept away and at least 12 of them were declared dead after a bridge collapsed in Neelam valley of Azad Kashmir on May 13.
The Kundal Shahi bridge over the stream of Jagiran in Neelam valley collapsed as it could not withstand the pressure due to overweight.
The tourist group was last seen standing on the bridge saving the scenic views in their cameras.

The search for the drowned bodies continues in Jagran stream.
It surfaced on media that a roadside cafeteria near the bridge had displayed a warning for visitors to take care while roaming around the area, which was grossly ignored by the sightseers.
