BEIRUT – A drone targeted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence has been attacked in the coastal city of Caesarea.
International media reports said the building hit in attack was part of Netanyahu’s home while no injuries have been reported, and it remains unclear if Netanyahu was present during the incident.
The strike marks significant escalation in tensions between Israel and Lebanese armed group. The attack is said to further escalate attacks in the region. Netanyahu was reportedly not at home at the time of the attack.
Israeli officials have not yet issued statement regarding the incident. As the situation develops, it raises questions about security measures in place for high-profile leaders and the potential for further retaliation in this ongoing conflict.
