ABU DHABI – United Arab Emirates continues to make changes in immigration policies to attract talent and to boost its economy and establish the Gulf nation as global hub for business and innovation.
In a recent move, Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) announced that more Indian nationals will now qualify for visas on arrival in the country. This new policy allows Indian citizens holding tourist visas from Britain and the EU to enter the country upon arrival.
A significant change from previous regulations limited this option to those with US visas or residency in United Kingdom and EU. To be eligible for a visa on arrival, applicants must ensure that both their visa and passport are valid for at least six months.
Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) also introduced a new 60-day visa option available for AED250, in new update in fee structure for various visa services. A two-week entry visa for Indian nationals and their families will now cost AED100.
UAE officials stressed that the new expansion of visa-on-arrival policy is part of the country’s long-term strategic partnership with New Delhi, highlighting commitment to bolster economic and trade ties.
