LAHORE (Staff Report) – The Excise and Taxation Department Tuesday caught Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Chief Minister Pervez Khatak’s vehicle with fake number plate, however it was released on intervention of a top KPK bureaucrat later on.
According to media reports, the officials initially said that they have caught a vehicle with fake number near Lahore’s Defence area. The person driving the car told himself as driver of KPK CM while Pervez Khatak’s son was also sitting in the car, according to officials.
Afterwards the vehicle was released, when a top bureaucrat from KPK called Excise officials and told them that vehicle was owned by Chif Minister Pervez Khatak and that fake number plate was used due to uncertain security situation.
It is also pertinent to be mentioned here that Chief Minister Pervez Khatak is not in Lahore currently.
