SHARJAH – Karachi Kings faced a blow against Islamabad United as the latter defeated the team by seven wickets in the latest encounter of Pakistan Super League on Saturday.
Batting first, Kings set a target of 144 run after Islamabad United decided to bowl first – the decision paid off at the start of the innings as Kings players crumbled earlier.
Opener Babar Azam scored 27 off 21 balls with Ben Dunk scoring 49 while Aamir Yameen contributed 39 off 20 balls.
United’s Faheem Ashraf 3 wickets off 26 run making it difficult for Kings to set a higher target for United. Muhammad Musa and Rumman Raees picked one wicket each.
In response, United chased the target easily as Luke Ronche scored 67 off 35 balls with Patel contributing 45 to the total. Islamabad United lost three wickets to clinch the target.
Imad Wasim, the Kings captain sent two United players to Pavilion.
Islamabad United was led by Shadab Khan instead of Muhammad Sami while Karachi Kings was captained by Imad Wasim.
Islamabad United defeated Peshawar Zalmi on Friday as Muhammad Sami scored a hat-trick.
