LAHORE (Staff Report) – A partial lunar eclipse sight will be visible in northern parts of Pakistan -KPK, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir- on Wednesday (March 23).
The eclipse will last for 4 hours and 15 minutes, starting at 2:39pm (Pakistan Standard Time). The spectacular scene will end at 6:54pm (Pakistan Standard Time. It will reach its greatest value at 4:47pm (Pakistan Standard Time).
The first eclipse will also be visible in several other countries located on the northern hemisphere of earth such as United States, Canada, Iceland, Russia, Turkmenistan, Norway, Australia and other countries of the region.
Lunar Eclipse is scientific sight, when moon goes black -or relatively dim- when earth comes in between sun and moon while rotating around its orbit. Two more lunar eclipse will take place this year.
