LAHORE – An Anti-Narcotics Court has extended former Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah’s judicial remand for five days in narcotics case on Saturday.
According to media details, Judge Masood Arshad conducted the hearing where the CCTV footage of Rana Sanaullah’s car entering motorway was also presented.
The court also directed the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) to submit a complete record of the case in the next hearing and produce Rana Sanaullah on August 28.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case pertaining to freezing of the PML-N leader’s assets till September 7.
The ANF had arrested Rana Sanaullah on July 1 claiming that it had seized a large number of drugs from the possession of Sanaullah and lodged a case under section 9 (C) of Control of Narcotic Substances Act 1997, which carries death penalty or life imprisonment or a jail-term that may extend to 14 years along with a fine up to Rs1 million.
