LAHORE – Three bags containing Computerised National Identity Cards (CNIC) were found in the garbage dump in Shafiqabd area of the NA-125 constituency, a day before general elections in the country.
The bags were discovered by trash pickers, on Tuesday, containing the CNICs belonged to the residents of the area, reported police.
The area falls under the NA-125 constituency of Lahore from where Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Yasmin Rashid is contesting the election against Pakistan Muslim League–Nawaz’s Waheed Alam.
The police have taken the bags into custody and have launched an inquiry into the incident.
