FAISALABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Nisar Jutt was defeated by Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’ senior leader, Rana Sanaullah in NA-106 constituency of Faisalabad.
According to unofficial results, Rana Sanaullah secured 106319 votes leaving behind Jatt who managed to get 103,799 votes in the 11th General Elections.
Initially, the local media reported that the PML-N bigwig had lost to the PTI leader, however, as per the results from all the polling stations, Sana has finally managed to enter the Lower House of the Parliament.
On a nationwide scale, the party position is different as PTI is leading on 114 seats leaving behind PMLN which is racing to victory on 64 seats through the final results are yet to be announced.
The Election Commission of Pakistan has rejected the allegations of rigging, with the Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan contending that the practice was 100 percent transparent.
