ISLAMABAD – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has announced prize of Rs 50,000 and a commendation certificate for ASI Farzana of Islamabad Police.
ASI Farzana was injured while performing her duty during the PTI protest in Islamabad in which the protestors pelted stones at the police force deputed there.
In a statement on Saturday, he also praised the exemplary professional behaviour shown by the woman police officer.
According to media reports, the PTI workers had accused Farzana of “assaulting” a female PTI worker.
Farzana said, “Female worker of PTI was trying to hit male police officers with a big stone when I tried to stop her. She attacked me and gave me bruises on my face and neck.”
