RAWALPINDI – Pakistan’s top military commander General Qamar Javed Bajwa has extended his greetings to fellow Pakistanis on Eid-ul-Fitr.
“Eid Mubarak with prayers for peace, progress and prosperity of Pakistan. Aamen,” the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) was quoted as saying by Major General Asif Ghafoor, director general (DG) of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The military spokesman, in a tweet, also wished a happy Eid to the nation on behalf of the armed forces of Pakistan.
Muslims in Pakistan and many other countries will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Wednesday, June 5.
The holy festival falls on the first day of the month of Shawwal, which is the only day the Muslims do not need to fast.
