DELHI (Web Desk) – Mohinder Singh Gill, 79, and his 72-year old wife, Daljinder Kaur successfully had a baby boy earlier this month.
The boy, named Arman Singh, was conceived by the couple after Kaur entered menopause almost 20 years ago. The baby was conceived after the couple’s third attempt at in-vitro fertilisation (IVF-test tube ) cycle proved successful.
“The woman came to me alone first in 2013, after reading about us in a paper,” said Dr Anurag Bishnoi, embryologist and owner of the National Fertility and Test Tube Baby Centre in Hisar, where the “miracle” baby Arman Singh was born.
Daljinder Kaur is second woman over 70 to undergo a successful IVF procedure at the center.
In 2006, another 70-year old lady Rajo Devi gave birth to a baby girl. Earlier, in 2008, a 66-year-old woman had given birth to triplets — two boys and a girl, at the center.
