ISLAMABAD (APP) – Authorities in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) have arrested Hurriyet leader Yasin Malik to prevent him from attending a joint seminar to be held at Hyderpora in Srinagar today.
The All Parties Hurriyet Conference and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front are planning to hold the seminar to create awareness about the anti-Kashmir policies of the Indian government, reported KMS.
Reports said police raided the residence of Muhammad Yasin Malik, in the Maisuma area, late at night after he was released on Saturday, arresting him and locking him up at Kothibagh Police Station in Srinagar.
The police denied commenting on the re-arrest of JKLF chief, which triggered tension in Maisuma.
The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, the Chairman of his own Hurriyet forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik, are now planning to jointly organize a day-long seminar against the proposed separate colonies for Pandits and Indian soldiers, today, at the Tehreek-e-Hurriyet office, Hyderpora.
