ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The government has decided to slash the prices Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) readied a working paper for 23 percent reduction, local media reported on Thursday.
The notification regarding the drop-off in CNG prices will be issued as soon as an advice is received from Petroleum Ministry for the purpose.
According to the OGRA officials, the decision to cut down the CNG prices has been taken on the heels of annulment of gas infrastructure development tax.
According to sources, CNG will go down by Rs.17.63 per kilogram in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan to settle at Rs.58.72/kg.
The gas will climb down by Rs.16.11/kg in Sindh and Punjab. The fresh price of the fuel will be Rs.55.39/kg in the two provinces.
The new gas prices will come into effect as soon as Petroleum Ministry gives a go-ahead in this regard.
