American doctor shot in gun attack in Karachi

KARACHI (Staff Report) – A United States national female doctor has been injured in a targeted attack in the port city of Karachi on Thursday as unidentified assailants fired at her car, according to Police.

The injured doctor, Debro Lobo, was carried to the hospital following the attack where she is said to be in stable condition after surgery according to hospital officials.

Her car came under attack at Shahee-e-Millat road where at least two attackers shot her in the head twice.

The assailants managed to escape the crime scene whereas police are of the view that it is a case of targeted killing.

Debra Lobo, is the Vice Principal Student Affairs at the Jinnah Medical and Dental College in Karachi.

She has been serving in the city for last ten years.

Earlier a police official was shot dead in the port city.
