“Why wasn’t Raja Zafar-ul-Haq Committee’s report issued despite admitting the mistake,” Imran said. “Why wasn’t necessary action taken against those found responsible by the committee?”
He delayed his visit to Karachi today in light of the metropolitis’s situation, where protests against the crackdown on the Faizabad sit-ins are being staged.
The operation to clear Faizabad interchange from protesters staging a sit-in began early morning on Saturday.
Heavy contingents of police, FC and Rangers were deployed at the interchange, where they used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the protesters, who had paralysed the federal capital for almost three weeks.
