Pakistan Post to provide subsidy cards, cheaper logistics to uplift small businesses

ISLAMABAD – Minister for Communication and Postal Services Murad Saeed announced on Monday that Pakistan Post would uplift small businesses through provision of cheaper logistics and subsidy cards.

Announcing a press conference, the minister urged small businesses to register themselves with Pakistan post, adding that once the registration mark crosses over 10,000, Pakistan Post would uplift the small businessmen who would in turn uplift local economy; as of now 900 small business owners have registered.

The minister expressed that for small businesses, Pakistan post would arrange free marketing campaigns across the world in liaison with overseas ministry which would spur exports.

‘We [ministry] would endorse your product,’ Saeed shared.

The lawmaker also highlighted that Pakistan Post had already launched the electronic money order service as well as e-commerce adding that Post Office had signed an agreement with National Bank for free of cost delivery of remittances from abroad. The minister said the Post Office had 673 franchises and its network would be expanded to 27000 branches.
