KARACHI – The Karachi Board of Secondary Education on Friday announced the annual results for the Matric Science exams for the year 2024.
This year, 163,012 candidates registered for the Science Group exams, 162,026 appeared, while 933 candidates were absent, and 29,455 were declared unsuccessful.
In the Science Group, Hafiz Abdul Rafay, son of Tariq Mahboob, roll number 310773 from Delhi Government Boys Secondary School, Karimabad FB Area, secured the first position with 94.55% marks.
Similarly, Rumeesa Imran, daughter of Muhammad Imran, roll number 453587 from Al-Khalil Model School, Shamsi Society Malir Halt, secured the second position with 94.27% marks, while Rukhsar, daughter of Abdullah, roll number 432054 from Little Folks School, Block F, North Nazimabad, secured the third position with 93.18% marks.
A total of 85,743 male and 77,269 female students participated in the Science Group exams, with a success rate of 81.23%. Among the successful candidates, 23,943 secured an A1 grade, 45,357 an A grade, 37,595 a B grade, 20,837 a C grade, 4,031 a D grade, and 25 an E grade. The total number of candidates passing all papers is 131,614.
The results have been uploaded on the board’s official website, www.bsek.edu.pk, and students will be able to view them on the website later tonight.
