First Family heads to London for Eid celebrations

LAHORE – The political elite of the country, including the first family of Pakistan, is heading to London on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, once again vindicating the notion that it is completely divorced from the public it claims to serve.

The first family has decided to spend Eid in London, where the premier has been recovering from open-heart surgery for the past several weeks.

According to reports, Maryam Nawaz, the PM’s daughter, will be heading to London  along with her family to celebrate Eid. Hussain and Hassan Nawaz, her brothers, already reside in London.

Additionally, the scions of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Hamza and Sulaiman along with their families will also celebrate Eid in London and, according to a Sharif family spokesperson, they have already departed for the United Kingdom.
