PANAMA – Pakistani boxer Muhammad Waseem has won an international challenge fight by defeating rival Eliecer Valdez in his homeland.

Two-time silver flyweight champion, Muhammad Waseem in an eight-round ranking fight, defeated Eliecer Valdez. With this victory, Muhammad Waseem has jumped to number one in the World Boxing Council’s Silver Flyweight rankings as this is his fourth consecutive victory.
Hailing from Quetta, Muhammad Wasim has been ranked as number one by the World Boxing Council (WBC). Waseem is expected to face world champion Mayweather Junior early next year. It is a great honour for Pakistan that Waseem is the maiden Pakistani boxer to be listed as he number-one boxer in the flyweight category.
