PM Modi wishes Pakistanis Independence Day amid border clash

NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended greetings to the people of Pakistan on the country’s 68th birthday.

“Greetings & good wishes to the people of Pakistan on their Independence Day,” Modi tweeted.


Modi’s greeting come in the midst of tension between India and Pakistan due to recent skirmishes along the Line of Control.

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz will visit New Delhi for security talks on August 23.
