Dolphin force set up to guard CPEC projects in Punjab: Shehbaz Sharif

LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif said on Saturday that the Dolphin force has been set up to guard the projects of China Pakistan Economic Corridor in the province.

He stated this while addressing the passing out ceremony of the Dolphin force, adding that the idea of special force hailed from Turkey.

“I expect same level of quality service from the force,” he said, adding that the troops will play important role in weeding out crime.

The force has been formed at the cost of billions of rupees and everyone was observing their performance.

A plan to form the force was laid out in 2013 aiming at fighting street crimes by equipping 700 police personnel.
