The Quantico star was on a panel where she laid down the reasons why girls opt out of education. She emphasised that menstruation hygiene and violence around the school premises are reasons why most of the girls in places like India, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Jordan have not even attempted to take up higher education.

“I could write a novel about how smart, incredible, inspiring, encouraging and funny this young woman is…” she said in a heartfelt note to Malala on her Instagram.
“Malala, you are an undeniable force to be reckoned with. The world knows that. You are a role model to all the girls and boys that want to make this world a better place for the future.
“Spending a few hours with you and your incredible father Mr. Yousafzai (who reminds me so much of my father), I realized you’re also just a young girl with young dreams. Your jokes, Your love for Hindi Films, your infectious laughter will always remind me of what a huge responsibility you have taken on at such a tender age,” she continued.

“I’m so proud to know you my friend. You inspire women like me all over the world. Can’t wait to speak to u in our secret Hindi/Urdu again,” Priyanka added.
Yousafzai is in New York with her charity, the Malala Fund, as the United Nations General Assembly is in session. The young activist has been fighting for recognition of educational rights for children, and, in 2012, was nearly killed by the Taliban in Pakistan for it.
Pakistan’s Gul Makai only joined Twitter two months ago and uses the microblogging site to share exciting life updates, like getting into Oxford.
