SWAT – Earthquake tremors were felt in Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and surrounding areas.
According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake measured 4.8 on the Richter scale and had a depth of 176 kilometres. The epicentre was located in the Hindu Kush mountain range.
Eyewitnesses said that following the tremors, people rushed out of their homes while reciting the Kalima.
Meanwhile, local authorities said no reports of loss of life or property have been received so far.
