LAHORE (Staff Report) – Shab-e-Barat, the night of forgiveness and divine blessings for Muslims, is being celebrated across the country tonight (Sunday night) with great zeal.
According to Islamic belief, this is a night of great significance as it falls on the 15th of Sha’aban, during which the register of births and deaths is finalized for the upcoming year.
It is believed that if someone prays to God throughout the night and seeks forgiveness for all the sins he may have committed, he has a good chance of forgiveness.
