ISLAMABAD – A contingent of Russian ground forces has arrived in Pakistan for first ever Pak-Russian joint exercise, Radio Pakistan reported on Friday.
The two-week long exercises beginning on Saturday (September 24) will continue till 10th of October.
Around two hundred military personnel of both countries will participate in the drills.
Earlier this week, India filed a diplomatic plea with Russia seeking cancellation of joint military exercise in Pakistan. However, Moscow refused to accept the Indian request.

The country also plans to hold joint military exercises with members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) as part of its regional military interaction.
