Police seize fake ballot papers from PML-N leader’s vehicle in Shangla

SHANGLA – Police on Tuesday foiled a bid to transport fake ballot papers in a constituency in Shangla, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a day before the general elections in the country.

The security officials also arrested three suspects including Pakistan Post’s employee, who were taking a stock of the fake ballot papers to NA-10 constituency through a car.

The fake documents were being transported in the car that belongs to PML-N leader Ibadullah Khan brother of key leader Amir Muqam, reported local media.

The suspects identified as Afzal, Bakhat Shair Khan, and Pakistan Post’s employee Bashir Khan have been arrested in connection with the fraud.

An investigation has been launched into the matter.

Earlier today, the security officials also arrested five suspects, who were taking a stock of the fake ballot papers to PS-52 constituency through a jeep in Umerkot, Sindh.
