Rs. 70 million recovered from electricity bill defaulters in Peshawar in under 2 months

PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recovered approximately Rs. 70 million owed by electricity bill defaulters to the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) and Tribal Areas Electricity Supply Company (TESCO) in a brief span of 2 months.

According to a press release issued by the anti grafting cell, special teams were set up to pursue willful defaulters who owed money to the distribution companies.

The largest number of defaulters were reported in Mullagori, Khyber Agency and Bannu. At least 22,343 defaulters have been identified in the tribal belt and notices have also been issued to them.
