ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI chairman Imran Khan Sunday thanked Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif for granting land for construction of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Karachi.
The cricketer-turned-politician took it to micro-blogging website Twitter to announce that the army chief had allocated land to SKMTH in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA).
Want to thank COAS Gen Raheel for helping SKMTH by granting land in DHA Karachi for the hospital.

The Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre is a non-profit hospital and research centre which aims to provide free treatment to cancer patients without any discrimination.
The hospital was first started in Lahore in 1994 while a second cancer treatment hospital was opened in Peshawar in 2015.
