QUETTA – Balochistan Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti on Wednesday tabled a resolution in provincial assembly seeking one-month delay in general elections 2018. As per details garnered, Bugti had cited two reasons for the delay. He stated that several people will be performing Hajj ritual while people from several districts would migrate owing to monsoon season. On the other hand, the opposition had warned the government against talking any undemocratic move while stressing to on holding elections as per schedule. Meanwhile, a brawl erupted in the last session of Balochistan Assembly over demands of making new province out of Pakistan’s largest province [as per area]. It is worth here to mention that general elections 2018 will be held on July 25 for National Assembly and provincial assemblies.
