ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s largest Oil marketing firm, Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has once again reiterated its resolve to help the deserving people across the country.
The multinational petroleum corporation donated over Rs175 million in fiscal year 2017-18 to help the deserving citizens; as many as Rs84m worth of grant was contributed in treatment of fatal diseases while Rs66m was handed out to ensure access to education.
Moreover, PSO donated over Rs24 million to help communities, have access to clean drinking water. The firm also supported persons with special needs and helped in infrastructure development for orphanages.
PSO also helps the Kidney Centre located in Karachi which in turn facilitates needy patients seeking dialysis. With support from donors and PSO, the facility now has 60 fully functional dialysis machines which serve over 130 patients daily.
The petroleum giant is also fueling the needs of differently abled individuals at Dar-ul-Sukun; it also donated an ambulance to the facility for the mobility of enrolled individuals who need special care and due attention.
Moreover, Indus Resource Center is also being funded by PSO in its mission to educate children from marginalized communities from the Rural Sindh.
As part of its corporate social responsibility, PSO is also helping students brighten their future at Pakistan’s top-notch varsity, Lahore University of Management Sciences.
The social services of PSO are not limited to the above-mentioned firms as it also supports Fatimid foundation, Aziz Jehan Begum Trust, AmanTech, Cancer Care Hospital and Research Center, Karwan e Hayat, Kaghan Memorial Trust School, Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation, The Hunar Foundation, Bait-ul-Sukoon Cancer Hospital besides other foundations.
The PSO CSR Trust vows to ensure constant support to the deserving members of the community to turn around the lives of Pakistani citizens with a broader view of shaping up Pakistan’s future.
