ISLAMABAD – Pakistani authorities conducted Medical College Admission Test MDCAT 2024 on Sunday under strict security measures and a group of medical aspirants were detained using Bluetooth devices to crack the exam.

Reports in local media said 50 aspiring doctors were held along with two facilitators, including a former FPSC official in capital city Islamabad. The students got these devices for Rs1lac each from this racket.

During the probe, it turned out that most of the detained candidates were from KP and had registered in Quetta specifically to engage in the cheating scheme. Investigations are ongoing to uncover the full extent of the operation and its network.

In Karachi, Student, medical associations lamented Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) for mismanagement during the MDCAT exam.

Officials also alleged a paper leak, claiming it resembled the actual exam, and called for an inquiry. However, DUHS dismissed these claims, stating that the circulated paper was not official, and a university spokesperson labeled the allegations as false.
