MQM terms Kamal’s claims “conspiracy” against Altaf Hussain

KARACHI (Web Desk) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Thursday rejected allegations leveled by the former party leader Mustafa Kamal.

They terms them a conspiracy to implement “minus Altaf Hussain formula”.

Addressing a counter press conference at MQM’s Karachi headquarters ‘Nine Zero’, Dr. Farooq Sattar said all the accusations which were leveled by Kamal were not new and that they have been facing them for a very long time.

He said that the party leaders and workers are united and that they would fail all the conspiracies against the MQM and its leadership.

The MQM senior leader said the result of by-election in NA-246 denied all the allegations against the party.

“Our supporters have expressed more confidence on the party leadership than ever after the allegations were leveled against the MQM,” he said.

On the occasion, MQM Convener Nadeem Nusrat lamented that media gave “non-stop coverage” to Mustafa Kamal, who he said, has no public mandate.

He said if Altaf Hussain has not been given a right to defend, such allegations should not be leveled.

The MQM convener claimed Mustafa Kamal humiliated the party workers in his hours-long press conference.

Nusrat asked if it was the fault of Altaf Hussain that he had made a telephone operator of ‘Nine Zero’ the mayor of Karachi.

He accused establishment of “patronizing others” to create divide in the MQM. “I want to request the establishment to shun the politics of creating divide”.
