ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Saturday welcomed the sacking of Pervaiz Rashid as Minister for Information and Broadcasting.
In a message on social media website, Khan wrote that premier Nawaz Sharif’s government was falling apart as one minister, Khawaja Asif fled to Dubai while another was sacked.
The rest of the ministers have started trembling, claimed Khan.

Rashid’s portfolio was taken away after a preliminary inquiry was launched by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan. According to media reports, the premier has ordered a formal inquiry as to whether Rashid was involved in the leak from the meeting.
Cyril Almedia’s story, published on October 6, brought a storm in the media and political circles as it mentioned an alleged civilian and military rift during the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting over the issue of tackling militant outfits.
