Sheikh Rasheed himself wanted to be arrested: Abid Sher Ali

FAISALABAD – Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali on Saturday claimed that Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed himself wanted to be arrested.

While talking to the media, Abid Sher Ali said the government had no intention of arresting Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed. He said Sheikh Rasheed was running like a phooljari (sparkler) himself.

Referring to the AML chief’s address to workers on Friday at Committee Chowk, Abid Sher Ali said “the police were right there, if they wanted to they would have arrested him.”
