LONDON (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will meet his British counterpart David Cameron at 10 Downing Street in London today (Saturday).
Talking to newsmen in London he said with inflation at 13-year low, improved GDP growth and high forex reserves, the country’s economy is turning around.
The PM urged foreign companies and entrepreneurs to seize lucrative investment opportunities in Pakistan, as security situation and economy have considerably improved.
He said the country will soon get rid of the electricity and gas crises as the government has initiated a number of energy projects with the cooperation of China.
Talking about the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Prime Minister termed the visit “very productive” and said the Chinese investment of 46 billion dollars has been unprecedented.
About security of the planned projects, the Prime Minister said the government is raising a force exclusively for providing security cover to the Chinese workers.
Prime Minister urged media to focus on country’s economy to tell the world that Pakistan is a developing country and moving in right direction.
About his recent visit to Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister dispelled the impression as if Saudi Arabia had handed over any wish list to Pakistan.
He said the Saudi leadership has been assured that if any threat comes to the territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan will stand shoulder to shoulder with the Saudi brethren.
