MARDAN – At least five people were killed and 11 others injured when a passenger van rammed into a parked truck in Mardan on Wednesday, local media reported.
The deadly accident occurred when the van, which was going to Bajur from Rawalpindi, went out of control due to high speed and rainfall, and crashed into a standstill truck leaving five dead and 11 wounded.
Rescue officials shifted the injured to Mardan Medical Complex where some are said to be in critical condition.
All the deceased belong to Bajaur Agency and were reportedly going to their hometowns ahead of Eidul Fitr.
