ISLAMABAD – The Senate was informed on Wednesday that five power projects having the capacity to generate two thousand five hundred and twenty megawatts electricity have so far been completed under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project in the country.
Replying to a question during the Question Hour, Minister of State for Interior, Muhammad Talal Chaudhry said that two of these projects have been completed in Punjab and three in Sindh province.
In response to a question, he said twenty-four energy projects will be completed under CPEC all over the country that will help overcome energy shortage in the country and end power load-shedding.
Talal Chaudhry said out of these, thirteen projects will be completed in Sindh, five in Punjab, three in Balochistan, one in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and two projects will be completed in Azad Kashmir.
