Priya Varrier’s song is now facing backlash from Indian Muslims as they plea in court

India- Priya Varrier has been internet’s new found crush as her song Manikya Malaraya Poovi became an Internet sensation due to her famous winks and giggles. All the lobe and support aside her song for Oru Adaar Love is facing backlash as Indian Muslims from Hyderabad appealing to the Supreme Court for the removal of this song in yet to be released Malayalam film stating the song is blasphemous.

The short clip of this song going viral on the internet shows how a school girl and boy are flirting by winking, which is forbidden in Islam and that this song is sacred as it is written in the praise of Prophet (P.B.U.H) and his first wife. The stated how the video of the song is hurting the sentiments of Muslims and are intended to outrage the community.

The song used in the film is a Malayalam folk song which people sing on religious occasions and is written in the praise of Prophet (P.B.U.H) and his first wife. An FIR was even filed against the director Omar LuLu in Telangana. Muslims are outraged by this insensitive act by the directors and producers. No action has been taken on the FIR filed however the matter is being investigated.
