Elections 2018: PPP’s Shabbir Bijarani to become first unopposed candidate

KASHMORE – Pakistan People’s Party leader Mir Shabbir Ali Bijarani is supposed to be elected as the first unopposed candidate in general elections 2018.

According to reports, Shabbir Ali submitted his nominations from PS-6 Kashmore-III on PPP’s ticket and the nomination papers of all other candidates were rejected by the Returning Officer.

However, if the rejected candidates avoid filing an appeal against the verdict of RO, Bijarani would become the unopposed member of the provincial assembly.

Shabbir is the son of PPP’s leader Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani and had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, from June 2013 to May 2018.

Earlier, the Returning officer cleared nomination papers of the former president Asif Zardari for NA-213 Shaheed Benazirabad-I on Tuesday.

Zardari had submitted papers for only a single constituency for which the concerned RO has rejected all the objections. The PPP co-chairman is running for the electoral race after a span of over two decades.
